وَتَكْشِفُ فِي مُعْجَمِكَ فِي مَكْتَبَةِ الْبَيْتِ أَوِ الْمَدْرَسَةِ أَوْ أَيَّةِ مَكْتَبَةٍ عَامَّةٍ عَنِ الْمُفْرَدَاتِ الَّتِي تَرَى صُعُوبَتَهَا وَتَشُكُّ فِي مَدْلُولَاتِهَا أَوْ ضَبْطِ حُرُوفِهَا عِنْدَ النُّطْقِ بِهَا.

Look up any vocabulary words in your home, school, or public library that you find difficult or are unsure how to define or pronounce.

أَنْ تَضَعَ تَحْتَ كُلِّ فِكْرَةٍ رَئِيسَةٍ مَا يَتْبَعُهَا مِنْ أَفْكَارٍ جُزْئِيَّةٍ.

Group the supporting ideas under each main point.

أَنْ تُسَجِّلَ أَثَرَ الْبِيئَةِ فِي الْحِوَارِ وَمُكَوِّنَاتِهِ مِنْ أَلْفَاظٍ وَجُمَلٍ وَعِبَارَاتٍ.

Record how the setting influences the dialogue, including the specific words, sentences, and phrases used.

أَنْ تُسَجِّلَ أَثَرَ الْبِيئَةِ فِي سُلُوكِ شُخُوصِ الْقِصَّةِ، وَمَوْقِفَكَ مِنْ هَذَا السُّلُوكِ.

Record how the setting influences the characters' behavior, and state your own position on those actions.

أَنْ تُسَجِّلَ الْعَادَاتِ وَالتَّقَالِيدَ وَالْقِيَمَ - مَا يُعْجِبُكَ مِنْهَا وَمَا لَا يُعْجِبُكَ - عَلَى أَنْ تُبْدِيَ رَأْيَكَ فِي كُلٍّ مِنْهَا مَعَ ذِكْرِ الْأَسْبَابِ.

Record the customs, traditions, and values—noting what you like and dislike about them—and explain your reasoning for each.

أَنْ تُسَجِّلَ مُقَارَنَةً بَيْنَ تِلْكَ الْعَادَاتِ وَالتَّقَالِيدِ وَالْقِيَمِ، وَمَا لَدَيْنَا الْآنَ مِنْ هَذِهِ الْأُمُورِ مَعَ تَوْضِيحِ رَأْيِكَ.

Compare those customs, traditions, and values with the ones we hold today, and clarify your own opinion.

أَنْ تُسَجِّلَ الْجُمَلَ وَالْعِبَارَاتِ وَالصُّوَرَ الَّتِي أَعْجَبَتْكَ - مِنَ الْقِصَّةِ - أَوْ أَثَارَتِ انْتِبَاهَكَ وَتُحَلِّلَهَا إِلَى عَنَاصِرِهَا مَعَ ذِكْرِ رَأْيِكَ.

Record the sentences, phrases, and imagery from the story that caught your attention or pleased you, then analyze them and provide your thoughts.

أَنْ تُسَجِّلَ الْأَلْفَاظَ وَالْجُمَلَ وَالْعِبَارَاتِ وَالصُّوَرَ الَّتِي لَمْ تُعْجِبْكَ مَعَ تَوْضِيحِ أَسْبَابِ عَدَمِ رِضَاكَ عَنْهَا.

Record the words, sentences, phrases, and imagery that you disliked, and explain why they did not satisfy you.

أَنْ تُحَاوِلَ الْقِيَامَ بِنَشَاطٍ تَعْبِيرِيٍّ بِأَنْ تَقْتَرِحَ رُؤُوسَ مَوْضُوعَاتٍ تَعْبِيرِيَّةٍ مُشْتَقَّةٍ أَوْ مُسْتَوْحَاةٍ مِنْ عِبَارَاتِ الْقِصَّةِ أَوْ سُلُوكِ أَشْخَاصِهَا.

Try to engage in a creative activity by suggesting topics for writing that are derived from or inspired by the story's language or the characters' behavior.

أَنْ تُحَاوِلَ عَمَلَ مُعْجَمٍ لَفْظِيٍّ لِأَلْفَاظِ الْقِصَّةِ حَسَبَ قُدْرَتِكَ وَفَرَاغِ وَقْتِكَ.

Try to compile a glossary of the story's vocabulary, as your time and ability allow.

أَنْ تَكْتُبَ مُوجَزًا أَدَبِيًّا لِلْقِصَّةِ وَتَعْلِيقَاتِكَ عَلَيْهَا.

Write a literary summary of the story along with your own commentary.

أَنْ تَخْتَارَ بَعْضَ الْجُمَلِ وَتَكْتُبَهَا بِخَطٍّ جَمِيلٍ، لِتَكْتَسِبَ مَهَارَةَ الْكِتَابَةِ بِخَطٍّ جَمِيلٍ وَأَنْتَ تَحْتَ تَأْثِيرِ الْقِرَاءَةِ.

Choose a few sentences and write them out in beautiful handwriting to practice your penmanship while inspired by your reading.

أَنْ تَضَعَ أَسْئِلَةً عَنِ الْجُمَلِ وَالْعِبَارَاتِ وَالْأَحْدَاثِ وَالْأَفْكَارِ فِي الْقِصَّةِ.

Create questions about the sentences, phrases, events, and ideas found in the story.

أَنْ تَلْجَأَ إِلَى الْأُسْتَاذِ لِتَوْجِيهِكَ.

Ask your teacher for guidance.

أَنْ تُدِيرَ حِوَارًا مَعَ زُمَلَائِكَ حَوْلَ الْقِصَّةِ بِإِشْرَافِ الْمُعَلِّمِ.

Lead a discussion with your classmates about the story under the teacher's supervision.

أَمَّا أَنْتَ أَيُّهَا الزَّمِيلُ الْفَاضِلُ فَإِنَّا نُوصِيكَ خَيْرًا بِبَنِيكَ وَبَنَاتِكَ مِنَ الطَّلَبَةِ وَالطَّالِبَاتِ.

وَلَنْ نُنَاقِشَ مَعَكَ طَرِيقَةَ الْإِعْدَادِ فَهَذَا لَهُ مَكَانٌ آخَرُ، وَلَكِنَّا نَأْمُلُ أَنْ تُسْهِمَ فِي تَكْوِينِ الشَّخْصِيَّةِ الْعِلْمِيَّةِ لِلطَّالِبِ وَالطَّالِبَةِ.

وَأَنْ تُنَمِّيَ قُدْرَتَهُ الْفِكْرِيَّةَ وَتَسْتَثْمِرَ رَغْبَتَهُ فِي التَّعَلُّمِ، وَأَنْ تُشْرِفَ إِشْرَافًا تَوْجِيهِيًّا عَلَى قِيَامِهِ بِكُلِّ نَشَاطٍ يُرِيدُهُ، أَوْ يُفَكِّرُ فِيهِ، وَتُشَجِّعَهُ عَلَيْهِ، وَأَنْ تُذَلِّلَ أَمَامَهُ الْعَقَبَاتِ، وَأَنْ تُوَظِّفَ مَا اكْتَسَبَهُ مِنْ مَعْلُومَاتٍ أَوْ لُغَوِيَّاتٍ.

Develop their intellectual abilities, nurture their desire to learn, and provide guidance as they undertake any activities they wish to pursue. Encourage them, remove obstacles from their path, and help them apply the information and language skills they have acquired.

وَأَنْ تَرْبِطَ بَيْنَ الْحَاضِرِ وَالْمَاضِي وَتَطْلُبَ مِنْهُ أَنْ يُقَارِنَ بَيْنَ الْعَصْرَيْنِ، وَيُسَجِّلَ الْمَآثِرَ الْمَوْجُودَةَ فِي كُلٍّ مِنْهُمَا، وَأَنْ يَلْجَأَ إِلَى الْمَكْتَبَةِ مَا أُتِيحَتْ لَهُ الْفُرْصَةُ لِلِاطِّلَاعِ، وَأَنْ يُحَاوِلَ تَلْخِيصَ الْقِصَّةِ، وَتَجْزِئَتَهَا إِلَى أَقْسَامٍ أَسَاسِيَّةٍ حَسَبَ تَسَلْسُلِ الْحَوَادِثِ وَتَطَوُّرِهَا.

Encourage them to connect the present with the past, compare the two eras, and record the achievements of each. Urge them to use the library whenever possible, summarize the story, and break it down into key sections based on the sequence and development of events.

وَنَعْلَمُ جَمِيعًا أَنَّ مَا نَبْذُلُهُ مِنْ جُهْدٍ هُوَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ، وَاللَّهُ لَا يُضِيعُ أَجْرَ الْعَامِلِينَ الْمُخْلِصِينَ.

We all know that the effort we exert is for the sake of God, and God does not let the reward of sincere workers go to waste.

وَنَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ التَّوْفِيقَ وَالْعَوْنَ وَالسَّدَادَ.

We ask God for success, help, and guidance.
