المَبْحَثُ الثَّالِثُ فِي أَغْرَاضِ التَّشْبِيهِ. الغَرَضُ مِنَ التَّشْبِيهِ إِمَّا بَيَانُ إِمْكَانِ المُشَبَّهِ، نَحْوَ: فَإِنْ تَفُقِ الأَنَامَ وَأَنْتَ مِنْهُمْ، فَإِنَّ المِسْكَ بَعْضُ دَمِ الغَزَالِ. فَإِنَّهُ لَمَّا ادَّعَى أَنَّ المَمْدُوحَ مُبَايِنٌ لِأَصْلِهِ بِخَصَائِصَ جَعَلَتْهُ حَقِيقَةً مُنْفَرِدَةً، احْتَجَّ عَلَى إِمْكَانِ دَعْوَاهُ بِتَشْبِيهِهِ بِالمِسْكِ الَّذِي أَصْلُهُ دَمُ الغَزَالِ. وَإِمَّا بَيَانُ حَالِهِ، كَمَا فِي قَوْلِهِ: كَأَنَّكَ شَمْسٌ وَالمُلُوكُ كَوَاكِبٌ، إِذَا طَلَعَتْ لَمْ يَبْدُ مِنْهُنَّ كَوْكَبٌ. وَإِمَّا بَيَانُ مِقْدَارِ حَالِهِ نَحْوَ: فِيهَا اثْنَتَانِ وَأَرْبَعُونَ حَلُوبَةً، سُوداً كَخَافِيَةِ الغُرَابِ الأَسْحَمِ. شَبَّهَ النُّوقَ السُّودَ بِخَافِيَةِ الغُرَابِ بَيَاناً لِمِقْدَارِ سَوَادِهَا.

فَإِنَّهُ لَمَّا ادَّعَى أَنَّ المَمْدُوحَ مُبَايِنٌ لِأَصْلِهِ بِخَصَائِصَ جَعَلَتْهُ حَقِيقَةً مُنْفَرِدَةً، احْتَجَّ عَلَى إِمْكَانِ دَعْوَاهُ بِتَشْبِيهِهِ بِالمِسْكِ الَّذِي أَصْلُهُ دَمُ الغَزَالِ.
When he claimed that the praised person is distinct from his origin by characteristics that made him a unique reality, he argued for the possibility of his claim by likening him to musk, whose origin is the gazelle's blood.
