Let him call his council
أي عشيرته، وإنما هم أهل النادي، والنادي مكانه ومجلسه، فسماه به، كما يقال: تقوض المجلس.
Meaning his kin, and they are the people of the council, and the council is its place and its seat, so he named it by it, as it is said: the council dispersed.
ندوت القوم: جمعتهم في الندي.
I gathered the people: I assembled them in the council.
وما يندوهم النادي ولكن * بكل محلة منهم فئام
And the council does not accommodate them but rather * from every district, a multitude of them
ندوت أيضا من الجود.
I was also generous from generosity.
سن للناس الندى فندوا

فلان ندي الكف، إذا كان سخيا

فالندى الاول: المطر، والثانى: الشحم.
