And it is said: it is the crane, and when it is hunted, it is said: 'Atriq kurā, 'Atriq kurā * Verily the ostriches are in the settlements.
وهو جمع بحذف الزوائد، كأنهم جمعوا كر مثل (*) أخ (1) وإخوان.
And it is a plural by omitting the extra letters, as if they pluralized 'kar' like 'akh' and 'ikhwān'.
وقد قالوا كراوين كما قالوا وزاشين.
And they have said karāwīn as they have said wazāshīn.
