They abandoned the analogy in this case, because 'af'al' whose feminine is 'af'alaa' is usually from the pattern 'fa'ala yaf'ilu', but this is said as 'qasawtu al-ba'eer', and 'qaswaa'' is outside its usual pattern.

And similarly, a beautiful woman (hasnaa') and one does not say a handsome man (ahsan).

وكان لرسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ناقة تسمى قصواء، ولم تكن مقطوعة الاذن.

And the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, had a she-camel named Qaswaa', and her ear was not cut.

He said: And a woman said to another: 'If you give birth to a son, then cut off his ears', meaning 'cut a piece from them'.

ويقال: فلان بالمكان الأقصى، والناحية القصوى والقصيا بالضم فيهما.

And it is said: 'So-and-so is in the furthest place', and the furthest direction, and 'al-quṣyā' with dammah in both.

ونزلنا منزلا لا يقصيه البصر، أي لا يبلغ أقصاه.
