وأصل الفصية الشئ تكون فيه ثم تخرج منه، فكأنها أرادت أنها كانت في مضيق وشدة من قبل عم بناتها فخرجت منه إلى السعة.
The origin of 'al-faṣyah' is a thing one is in, then exits from it, so it is as if she meant she was in a narrowness and hardship because of her daughters' uncle, then exited from it to ease.
ما كدت أتفصى من فلان
I could hardly escape from so-and-so.
تفصيت من الديون، إذا خرجت منها وتخلصت.
I 'tafaṣṣaytu' from debts, if I exited from them and got free.
فصى اللحم عن العظم
The flesh separated from the bone.
وفصيته منه تفصية، إذا خلصته منه.
And I 'faṣsaytuhu' it from it, 'tafṣiyatan', if I freed it from it.
قد أفصى عنك الحر
The heat has gone out from you.
وأفصى المطر، أي أقلع.
And the rain 'afṣā', meaning it ceased.
