وكذلك طهت الإبل، إذا ذهبت نادة في الأرض.
And likewise the camels went astray, if they went wandering in the land.
فلسنا لباغي المهملات بقرفة * إذا ما طها بالليل منتشراتها
We are not for the seeker of neglected things by scent * when its scattered ones wander by night.
والطاهى: الطباخ.
And the cook: the cook.
والطهاء ممدود: لغة في الطخاء، وهو السحاب المرتفع.
And al-Tuhā' extended: a dialect for al-Tukhā', which is the elevated cloud.
يقال: ما على السماء طهاءة، أي قزعة.
It is said: there is no cloud patch in the sky, meaning a patch of cloud.
وطهية: حى من تميم نسبوا إلى أمهم، وهم أبو سود وعوف وحبيش بنو مالك بن حنظلة.
And Tahiya: a tribe of Tamim attributed to their mother, and they are Abu Sawd, 'Awf, and Hubaysh, sons of Malik bin Hanzalah.
أثعلبة الفوارس أو رياحا * عدلت بهم طهية والخشابا
O Tha'labah the horsemen or Rayyah * you equated them with Tahiya and al-Khashshaba.
والنسبة إليهم طهوى ساكنة الهاء، وبعضهم يقول طهوى على القياس.
