So that what has contracted between your eyes does not expand, * and you do not meet me except with your nose disdainful.
وتقول: زوى فلان المال عن وارثه زيا.
And you say: So-and-so withheld wealth from his heir in a manner of gathering.
زؤ المنية: ما يحدث من هلاك المنية.
'Zú' of death: what happens from the demise of death.
ويقال: الزؤ القدر.
And it is said: 'al-zú' is the pot.
من ابن مامة كعب ثم عي به * زؤ المنية إلا حرة وقدى
From Ibn Māmma, Ka'b, then he was blamed for * the 'zú' of death except for a free woman and a sacrifice.
يقال قدر زووية وزواوية، مثل علبطة وعلابطة، للعظيمة التى تضم أعضاء الجزور.
