أي تدلل، كقوله تعالى: (ثم ذهب إلى أهله يتمطى)

فتدليت عليها قافلا
So I lowered myself upon it, returning.
وأدلى بحجته، أي احتج بها.
And he presented his argument, meaning he argued with it.
وهو يدلي برحمه، أي يمت بها.
And he boasts of his kinship, meaning he takes pride in it.
وأدلى بماله إلى الحاكم: دفعه إليه.
And he gave his money to the ruler: he handed it over to him.
وتدلوا بها إلى الحكام
