يردن ثراء المال حيث علمنه
They seek abundance of wealth where they know it to be.

وتصغيرها ثريا.

ثريت بفلان فأنا ثر به، أي غني عن الناس.

ثري بذلك يثرى، إذا فرح به وسر.

وثرا المال نفسه يثرو، إذا كثر.

ثرا الله القوم: كثرهم.
Allah made the people numerous: He increased them.
وثرونا القوم، أي كنا أكثر منهم.
And we outnumbered the people, meaning we were more numerous than them.
وأثرى الرجل، إذا كثرت أمواله.
And the man became wealthy, if his wealth increased.
لكم مسجدا الله المزوران والحصى
You have the two visited mosques of Allah and the pebbles
لكم قبصه من بين أثرى وأقترا
Yours is its ember from among the wealthy and the poor
أراد من بين من أثرى ومن أقتر، أي من ms1557 بين مثر ومقتر.
He meant from among those who are wealthy and those who are poor, meaning from among the wealthy and the destitute.
وأثرت الأرض: كثر ثراها.
And the land became abundant: its moisture increased.
وأثرى المطر: بل الثرى.
And the rain became abundant: it moistened the damp earth.
ما بينى وبينك مثر، أي إنه لم ينقطع

The damp earth between me and you has not dried up, as the Prophet said: 'Maintain ties of kinship, even if only with a greeting of peace.'
فلا توبسوا بيني وبينكم الثرى
So do not let the damp earth between me and you dry up
فإن الذي بيني وبينكم مثرى
For that which is between me and you is a bond.
وثريت الموضع تثرية، أي رششته.
And I dampened the place with tuthriyah, meaning I sprinkled it.
وثريت السوق أيضا: بللته.
And I dampened the market too: I wetted it.
