والتوليه: أن يفرق بين المرأة وولدها.
And 'at-tawliyah': is to separate a woman from her child.
" لا توله والدة بولدها " أي لا تجعل والها، وذلك في السبايا.
"No mother should be made to suffer separation from her child," meaning, do not make her distracted (by separation), and this was in the context of captives.
وناقة واله، إذا اشتد وجدها على ولدها.
And a camel is 'wālah' if her longing for her young is intense.
والميلاه: التي من عادتها أن يشتد وجدها على ولدها، صارت الواو ياء لكسرة ما قبلها.
And 'al-maylāh': is she whose habit is that her longing for her young intensifies; the 'wāw' became 'yā'' due to the kasrah before it.
كأن المطافيل المواليه وسطه
As if the young camels of the grieving mothers are in its midst.
ومآء موله وموله: أرسل في الصحراء فذهب.
And 'mā'un mawlah' and 'mawlah': is water sent into the desert and it disappeared.
حاملة دلوك لا محموله * ملأى من الماء كعين الموله
Carrying your bucket, not being carried * full of water like a lost spring.
تمشي من الماء كمشي الموله
Walking from the water like the gait of a spider.
والموله: العنكبوت.
And 'al-mawlah': is the spider.
به تمطت عرض كل ميله * بنا حراجيج المهارى النفه
Across every region it stretched * carrying us, the swift, tall camels.
أراد البلاد التي توله الإنسان، أي تحيره.
He meant the lands that distract a person, meaning, they bewilder him.
