And it is said that 'al-nabh' is a lost item found by chance, not by searching.
يقال: وجدت الضالة نبها
It is said: I found the lost item by chance.
ونبه الرجل بالضم: شرف واشتهر، ينبه نباهة، فهو نبيه ونابه
And 'nabaha' (with dammah) for a man means he became honored and famous; he becomes famous with 'nabāhah', so he is 'nabīh' and 'nābuh'.

And it is the opposite of the obscure.
ونبهته أنا: رفعته من الخمول
And I 'nabbah'tu-hu (made him famous): I raised him from obscurity.
يقال: أشيعوا بالكنى فإنها منبهة
It is said: Spread news by kunyahs (nicknames), for they are attention-grabbing.
وانتبه من نومه: استيقظ
And 'intabaha' from his sleep: he woke up.
وأنبهته أنا
And I 'anbah'tu-hu (made him wake up).
والتنبيه مثله
And 'al-tanbīh' is like it (making someone wake up).
ونبهته على الشئ: أوقفته عليه فتنبه هو عليه
And I 'nabbah'tu-hu to a matter: I made him aware of it, so he became aware of it.
نبهت للامر بالكسر، أنبه نبها، وهو الامر تنساه ثم تنتبه له
I 'nabih'tu (became aware) of the matter (with kasrah), I become aware with 'nabhan', and it is a matter you forget then become aware of it.
انبهت حاجة فلان، إذا نسيتها، فهي منبهة
A need of so-and-so became 'anbahat' (forgotten), if you forget it, it is 'munbahah' (forgotten).
ونبهان: أبو حى من طيئ، وهو نبهان ابن عمرو
And Nabhān: the father of a tribe from Tayyi', and he is Nabhān ibn Amr.
