واللمة بالكسر: الشعر يجاوز شحمة الاذن، فإذا بلغت المنكبين فهى جمة، والجمع لمم ولمام.
And al-limmah (with kasra): hair that exceeds the earlobe; if it reaches the shoulders, it is called jammah, and the plural is limam and limam.
شدخت غرة السوابق منهم في وجوه مع اللمام الجعاد
The foremost of the swift ones among them struck the foreheads of their enemies with the abundant, curly hair.

يقول الرجل: قد مات فلان. فتقول: لما ولم يمت.
A man says: So-and-so has died. You say: Not yet, and he has not died.
أتيتك ولما أصل إليك، أي ولم أصل إليك.
I came to you and had not yet arrived, meaning and I had not arrived to you.
ضربته لما ذهب ولما لم يذهب.
I struck him when he left and when he did not leave.
قاربت المكان ولما، تريد ولما أدخله.
I neared the place and not yet, meaning and not yet entered it.

May Allah forgive you! Why did you give them permission?
ولك أن تدخل عليها الهاء في الوقف فتقول لمه.
