تقول منه: قرمت البعير، وهو بعير مقروم.

ويقال أيضا: قرم الصبي والبهم قرما وقروما، وهو أكل ضعيف في أول ما يأكل.
It is also said: The child and the lamb ate qarma and quruuma, which is weak eating when they first start to eat.
والقرامة أيضا: ما التزق من الخبز بالتنور.
And al-quraamah is also: what sticks of bread to the oven.
وما في حسب فلان قرامة، أي عيب.
And there is no quraamah in so-and-so's lineage, meaning a defect.
والقرم بالتحريك: شدة شهوة اللحم.
And al-qarm (with harakah): is the intensity of craving for meat.
وقرمت إلى اللحم بالكسر، إذا اشتهيته.
And I craved meat (with kasrah), when you desired it.
والقرام: ستر فيه رقم ونقوش.
And al-qiraam: is a curtain with patterns and designs.
وكذلك المقرم والمقرمة.
And likewise is al-muqram and al-muqramah.
على ظهر جرعاء العجوز كأنها دوائر رقم في سراة قرام

واستقرم بكر فلان قبل إناه، أي صار قرما.
