مَا زَالَتِ الدَّلْوُ لَهَا تَعُودُ حَتَّى أَفَاقَ غَيْمُهَا المَجْهُودُ
The bucket kept returning to it until its exhausted thirst was quenched.
يُقَالُ مِنْهُ: غَامَ يَغِيمُ، فَهُوَ غَيْمَانٌ وَامْرَأَةٌ غَيْمَى.
It is said from it: ghaama yagheemu, so he is ghayman and a woman is ghayma.
فَظَلَّتْ صَوَافِنَ خَزْرَ العُيُونِ إِلَى الشَّمْسِ مِنْ رَهْبَةِ أَنْ تَغَيَّمَا
So they remained standing with their eyes squinting towards the sun from the fear of becoming cloudy (overcome).
