والنوال: العطاء.
And 'an-nawalu': the giving.
والنائل مثله.
And 'an-nailu' is like it.
يقال: نلت له بالعطية أنول نولا، ونلته العطية.
It is said: 'Niltu lahu bil-'aṭiyyati anūlu nawlan', and 'Naltuhu al-'aṭiyyata'.
ونولته: أعطيته نوالا.
And 'Nawwaltuhu': I gave him a gift.
فما نولت حتى تضرعت عندها وأنبأتها ما رخص الله في اللمم
So I did not give/bestow until I pleaded with her and informed her of what God has permitted of minor sins (i.e., kissing).
رجل نال: كثير النوال.
A man 'naal': a frequent giver.
ورجلان نالان، وقوم أنوال.
