By God, you are indeed prone to boredom, the near distracts you from the far.
وأمله وأمل عليه، أي أسأمه.
And he made him weary, and he made him weary of it, meaning he tired him out.
يقال: أدل فأمل.
It is said: he became bored, so he became weary.
وأمل عليه أيضا، بمعنى أمي.
And he made him weary of it also, meaning he tired him out.
يقال: أمللت عليه الكتاب.
It is said: I dictated the book to him.
ومللت الثوب بالفتح، إذا خطته الخياطة الأولى قبل الكف.
And I sewed the garment (with fatha), when I made the first stitch before the finishing.

واسْمُ ذلك الخبز المليل والمملول.

يقال: أطعمنا خبز ملة، وأطعمنا خبزة مليلا، ولا تقل أطعمنا ملة: لأن الملة الرماد الحار.
It is said: We were fed bread of hot ashes, and we were fed a bread baked in ashes, and do not say 'we were fed hot ashes': because al-milla is the hot ashes.
قال الشاعر. أباتك الله في أبيات معتنز عن المكارم لاعف ولاقار (1) صلد الندى زاهد في كل مكرمة كإنما ضيفه في ملة النار
The poet said: May God make you spend your nights in lofty dwellings, far from nobility, neither forgiving nor hospitable, steadfast in generosity, abstaining from all honor, as if his guest were in the hot ashes of the fire.
والمليلة: حرارة يجدها الرجل، وهي حمى في العظم.
And al-muleila: is a heat that a man feels, and it is a fever in the bone.
يقال: به مليلة وملال أيضا بالضم.
It is said: he has al-muleila and also malal (with damma).
وهو يتململ على فراشه ويتملل، إذا لم يستقر من الوجع، كأنه على ملة.
And he writhes on his bed and squirms, if he cannot settle due to pain, as if he were on hot ashes.
وملل: اسم موضع.
And Mallal: is the name of a place.
وطريق ممل، أي لحب مسلوك.
And a ممل road, meaning frequently trodden.
ومر فلان يمتل، إذا مر مرا سريعا.
And so-and-so passed, moving quickly, if he passed very fast.
والملة بالكسر: الدين والشريعة.
And al-milla (with kasra): is religion and law.
والملمول: الميل الذى يكتحل به.
And al-mamloul: is the stick with which one applies kohl.
