قالت أم تأبط شرا: " ولا أرضعته غيلا ".
Umm Ta'abbata Sharran said: 'And I did not nurse him with ghayl.'
وقد أغالت المرأة ولدها، فهي مغيل.

وأغيلت أيضا، إذا سقت ولدها الغيل، فهي مغيل.
And she was also mughil, if she nursed her child with ghayl.
وأغال فلان ولده، إذا غشي أمه وهي ترضعه.

والغيل أيضا: الماء الذي يجرى على وجه الأرض.

وفي الحديث: " ما سقي بالغيل ففيه العشر، وما سقي بالدلو ففيه نصف العشر ".
And in the hadith: 'Whatever is watered by surface flow (ghayl) has a tithe (al-'ushr), and whatever is watered by a bucket has half a tithe.'
