وأَسْبَلَ الزَّرْعُ، أي خَرَجَ سُنْبُلُهُ.
And the crop grew ears, meaning its ears emerged.
وَخَيْلٌ كَأَسْرَابِ القَطَا قَدْ وَزَّعْتُهَا لَهَا سُبُلٌ فِيهِ المَنِيَّةُ تَلْمَعُ يَعْنِي بِهِ الرُّمْحَ.

وَسَبَّلَ ضَيْعَتَهُ، أَيْ جَعَلَهَا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ.

وَقَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: (يَا لَيْتَنِي اتَّخَذْتُ مَعَ الرَّسُولِ سَبِيلاً).
