وقد يسمى المطر رزقا، وذلك قوله عز وجل: [وما أنزل الله من السماء من رزق فأحيا به الأرض]
And rain may be called 'rizq', and that is His saying, Exalted is He: [And Allah has sent down from the sky provision, and He gave life thereby to the earth].

[And in the heaven is your provision].
وهو اتساع في اللغة، كما يقال: التمر في قعر القليب، يعنى به سقى النخل.
And this is an expansion in the language, as it is said: 'The dates are at the bottom of the well', meaning the watering of the palms.
ورجل مرزوق، أي مجدود.
And a man is 'marzūq', meaning fortunate.
والرازقية: ثياب كتان بيض.
And 'al-rāziqiyyah': white linen garments.
لها غلل من رازقي وكرسف بأيمان عجم ينصفون المقاولا
It has garments of 'rāziqī' and cotton, in the hands of non-Arabs who serve the chiefs.
أي يخدمون الاقيال.
