And he was created for kingship, white, with a snub nose, high-bridged, with grey eyes, like the full moon.
فإنما عنى به أنه خلق خلقة تصلح للملك.
He only meant by it that he was created with a nature suitable for kingship.
وفلان خليق بكذا، أي جدير به.
And so-and-so is 'khaliq' for such-and-such, meaning deserving of it.
وقد خلق لذلك بالضم، كأنه ممن يقدر فيه ذلك وترى فيه مخائله.
And he was destined for it (with dammah on the 'kha'), as if he were one for whom that is destined and you see its signs in him.
وهذا مخلقة لذلك، أي مجدرة له.
And this is a 'makhlaqah' for that, meaning it makes him deserving of it.
ونشأت لهم سحابة خلقة وخليقة، أي فيها أثر المطر.
And a cloud appeared to them, 'khulqah' and 'khaliqah', meaning it had the trace of rain.
لكنها أنشئت لها خلقه

قيل للمرأة الرتقاء: خلقاء.
The imperforate woman was called 'khulqaa''.
وملحفة خلق وثوب خلق، أي بال، يستوي فيه المذكر والمؤنث، لانه في أصل مصدر الأخلق وهو الأملس.
And a 'khuluq' cloak and a 'khuluq' garment, meaning worn out, the masculine and feminine are the same, because it is from the original masdar of 'al-akhlaq', which means smooth.
وقد خلق الثواب بالضم خلوقة، أي بلى.
And the garment became 'khuluqah' (with dammah on the 'kha'), meaning worn out.
وأخلق الثواب مثله.
And the garment became 'akhlaqa' (worn out), similar to it.
