وتبين رب الخورنق إذ أشرف يوما وللهدى تفكير
And the lord of Al-Khuwaranaq became clear when he looked out one day, and in guidance is contemplation.
سره ما له وكثرة ما يملك والبحر معرضا والسدير
His secret is what he possesses and the abundance of what he owns, and the sea before him and the riverside pavilion.
فارعوى قلبه فقال وما غبطة حي إلى الممات يصير
So his heart was restrained, and he said, 'And what envy is there for a living being who will end up in death?'
