Al-Asma'i said: It is only qadhf, and it is the high place, the singular of which is qadhfah.
ورجل مقذف، أي كثير اللحم، كأنه قذف باللحم قذفا.
And a man maqdhūf, meaning fleshy, as if he were thrown with flesh.
والقذف بالحجارة: الرمي بها.

يقال: هم بين حاذف وقاذف.
It is said: They are between a hādhif and a qādhif.
