And it is also said: 'I 'ẓalaf-tu' my tracks and 'aẓlaf-tuhā', meaning I walked on rough ground so that your tracks would not be apparent on it.

وقوله: ظلف، أي اخذ بها في ظلف من الارض كى لا يقتص أثرها
