فأما الوعل فلا يقال فيه إلا صدع بالتحريك، وهو الوسط منها ليس بالعظيم ولا الصغير، ولكنه وعل بين وعلين.

وكذلك هو من الظباء والحمر.

تقبض الذئب إليه واجتمع
The wolf draws near to it and gathers.
يقال رأيت بين القوم صدعات، أي تفرقا في الرأي والهوى.
