والمحرضة بالكسر: إناؤه.

And al-حراض: is where the alkali plant is heated to make lye from it.
وكذلك الذى يوقد على الصخر ليتخذ منه نورة أو جصا.
And likewise, where stones are heated to make lime or gypsum from them.
والحرضة: الذي يضرب للأيسار بالقداح، لا يكون إلا ساقطا برما.
And al-حرضة: is what is struck for the gamblers with arrows, it is only a discarded or rejected one.
وأحرض الرجل، إذا ولد ولد سوء.
And a man أحرض (had a bad child), if he bore a child of evil.
ويقال الأحراض والحرضان: الضعاف الذين لا يقاتلون.
And al-أحراض and al-حرضان are said of: the weak ones who do not fight.
ومن يرم جمعهم يجدهم مراجيح حماة للعزل الاحراض *
And whoever shoots their gathering will find them swinging, protectors of the الاحراض (weaklings).
والاحريض: العصفر.
