And it is said: Hāsha Allāh: to declare Him free (from imperfection).

And it is not said 'Hāsha laka' by analogy to it; rather, it is said: 'Hāshāk' and 'Hāshā laka'.

And the origin of Al-Hawsh - they claim - is the land of the jinn beyond the sands of Yabrīn, which no one from mankind inhabits.

ويقال: إن الابل الحوشية منسوبة إلى الحوش، وهى فحول جن تزعم العرب أنها ضربت في نعم بعضهم فنسبت إليها.

And it is said: the wild camels are attributed to Al-Hawsh, and they are male jinn whom the Arabs claim mated with some of their livestock, so they were attributed to them.

ورجل حوش الفؤاد، أي حديد الفؤاد.

And a man of Hawsh al-fu'ād, meaning hard-hearted.

فأتت به حوش الفؤاد مبطنا * سهدا إذا ما نام ليل الهوجل
