ويروى " قنسرى "، بالكسر النون
And it is narrated as 'Qunsura', with a kasra on the noon.
والقسور: نبت.
And al-Qaswar: a plant.
لجاءت كأن القسور الجون بجها * عساليجه والثامر المتناوح
She came forth as if the dark Qaswar plant were her face * its shoots and its abundant, intertwined growth.
والقسور والقسورة: الأسد.
And al-Qaswar and al-Qaswarah: the lion.

They fled from a lion.
ويقال: هم الرماة من الصيادين.
And it is said: they are the archers among the hunters.
وقنسرون، بلد بالشام، بكسر القاف، والنون مشددة تكسر وتفتح.
And Qansarin, a city in Syria, with a kasra on the Qaf, and the Noon is doubled, it can be with kasra or fatha.
سقى الله فتيانا ورائي تركتهم * بحاضر قنسرين من سبل القطر
May God water youths behind me whom I left * in the vicinity of Qansarin from the paths of the rain.
والنسبة إليه قنسرينى، على ما فسرناه في نصيبين من باب الباء.
And the attribution to it is Qansarini, as we explained in Nasibin from the chapter of Ba.
