فقالوا: " لا آتيك معزى الفزر " أي تحتي تجتمع تلك، وهى لا تجتمع أبدا.
So they said: 'I will not come to you with the goats of al-Fazar,' meaning those gather under me, and they never gather.
والفزر بالفتح: الفسخ في الثوب.
And al-Fazar (with fatha): a tear in a garment.
يقال: لقد تفزر الثوب، إذا تقطع وبلي.
It is said: the garment has become torn, if it is cut and worn out.
وفزرت الشئ: صدعته.
And I split something: I cracked it.
وطريق فازر، أي واسع.
And a road is Fazar, meaning wide.
تدق معزاء الطريق الفازر * دق الدياس عزم الا نادر
The hooves beat the wide road * like the threshing floor beats the strong ones.
ورجل أفزر بين الفزر، وهو الأحدب الذي في ظهره عجرة عظيمة، وهو المفزور أيضا.
