وفي الحديث: " أنه كان يسجد على عبقري "، وهو هذه البسط التي فيها الأصباغ والنقوش، حتى قالوا: ظلم عبقري، وهذا عبقري قوم، للرجل القوي.
And in the Hadith: 'He used to prostrate on an 'abqari', which are these carpets that have dyes and patterns, to the point they said: 'abqari injustice, and this is a man of his people, for the strong man.
وفي الحديث: " فلم أر عبقريا يفري فرية ".
And in the Hadith: 'I have not seen an 'abqari' who could fabricate a lie'.
ثم خاطبهم الله تعالى بما تعافوه فقال: (وعبقرى حسان)
Then Allah the Almighty addressed them with what they found distasteful, saying: (And 'Abqariyyah are the excellent ones)
وقرأه بعضهم: (وعباقرى)
And some of them read it: (And 'abaqira)
وهو خطأ، لان المنسوب لا يجمع على نسبته.
And it is an error, because the attributed noun is not pluralized based on its attribution.
وعبقر السراب: تلالا.
And 'Abqar of the mirage: hills.
أعرفت (1) الدار أم أنكرتها * بين تبراك فشسى عبقر -
Do you recognize the dwelling or deny it? * Between Tabrak and Shasa 'Abqar -
وهو قولهم: " أبرد من عبقر ".
And it is their saying: 'Colder than 'Abqar'.
ويقال " حبقر " كأنهما كلمتان جعلتا واحدة، لان أبا عمرو بن العلاء يرويه: " أبرد من عب قر "
And it is said 'habqar', as if they were two words made into one, because Abu Amr ibn al-'Ala narrated it: 'Colder than 'ab qarr'
قال: والعب اسم للبرد الذى ينزل من المزن، وهو حب الغمام، فالعين مبدلة من الحاء.
He said: And 'al-'ab' is the name for the cold that descends from the clouds, which is the hail of the clouds, so the 'ayn is a substitution for the ha'.
والقر: ms0539 البرد.
And 'al-qarr': the cold.
كأن فاها عب قر بارد * أو ريح روض (1) مسه تنضاح رك -
As if her mouth were cold 'ab qarr * Or the breeze of a meadow (1) touched by a light rain -
الرك: المطر الضعيف. وتنضاحه: ترششه.
Ar-rak: light rain. And tanḍāḥuhu: its sprinkling.
