They traverse the sahirah, as if their waters and their depths were the darkness of a gloomy night.
والاسهران، عرقان في المنخرين إذا اغتلم الحمار سالا ماء.
And the asharan, two veins in the nostrils that secrete water when the donkey is agitated.
توال من مصك أنصبته * حوالب أسهريه بالذنين
You are tired from my suckling, I have made you weary * with the flowing tears from your nostrils.
