And the plural is 'asḥār', like 'bard' and 'abrad', and likewise 'al-siḥr' and 'al-siḥr', and the plural is 'suḥūr' like 'fils' and 'fulūs'.

وهو معرفة وقد غلب عليه التعريف بغير إضافة ولا ألف ولام، كما غلب ابن الزبير على واحد من بنيه.
And it is definite, and it has become predominantly definite without an addition or 'al-' and 'lām', just as 'Ibn al-Zubayr' became a name for one of his sons.
وتقول: سر على فرسك سحر يافتى، فلا ترفعه، لانه ظرف غير متمكن.
And you say: 'Ride your horse at pre-dawn, O young man', and you do not raise it (i.e., decline it), because it is an un-established adverb.
وإن أردت بسحر نكرة صرفته، كما قال الله تعالى: (إلا آل لوط نجيناهم بسحر) *.
And if you mean 'saḥar' indefinitely, you decline it, as God Almighty said: '(Except the family of Lot, we saved them by a pre-dawn meal)'.
فإن سميت به رجلا أو صغرته انصرف، لانه ليس على وزن المعدول كأخر.
If you name a man with it or make it diminutive, it is declined, because it is not on the pattern of the derived form like 'ākhir'.
تقول: سر على فرسك سحيرا.
You say: 'Ride your horse at a little before dawn'.
والسحرة بالضم: السحر الأعلى.
And 'al-suḥarah' (with damma): the earlier pre-dawn.
يقال أتيته بسحر وبسحرة.
It is said: 'I came to him at pre-dawn and at the earlier pre-dawn'.
أسحرنا: أي سرنا في وقت السحر.
'Asḥarnā': meaning we traveled at the time of pre-dawn.
أسحرنا أيضا: صرنا في السحر.
'Asḥarnā' also: meaning we entered the pre-dawn time.
واستحر الديك: صاح في ذلك الوقت.
And 'istaḥarra al-dīk': the rooster crowed at that time.
والسحور: ما يتسحر به.
And 'al-suḥūr': what is eaten for the pre-dawn meal.
والسحر: الأخذة. وكل ما لطف مأخذه ودق فهو سحر.
And 'al-siḥr': the taking. And everything whose taking is subtle and fine is 'siḥr'.
وقد سحره (1) يسحره سحرا.
And he bewitched him, he bewitches him, a bewitching.
والساحر: العالم.
And 'al-sāḥir': the knowledgeable one.

وقوله تعالى: (إنما أنت من المسحرين) *، يقال المسحر: الذي خلق ذا سحر.
And His saying, Almighty: '(You are only among those who are sustained)'*, it is said 'al-musahhar': he who was created with enchantment.

And it is said: from those who are charmed/sustained.
وينشد لامرئ القيس: أرانا موضعين لأمر غيب * ونسحر بالطعام وبالشراب
