الدار مؤنثة. وإنما قال الله تعالى: (ولنعم دار المتقين)
The 'dar' is feminine. And indeed Allah the Almighty said: (And excellent is the home of the righteous)
فذكر على معنى المثوى والموضع كما قال: (نعم الثواب وحسنت مرتفقا)
So He mentioned it with the meaning of dwelling and place, as He said: (Excellent is the reward, and good is the resting place)
فأنث على المعنى.
So He made it feminine based on the meaning.
وأدنى العدد أدؤر، فالهمزة فيه مبدلة من واو مضمومة.
And the minimum number is 'ad'ur', so the hamza in it is substituted from a doubled 'waw'.
والكثير ديار مثل جبل وأجبل وجبال.
And the common plural is 'diyar', like 'jabal' and 'ajbal' and 'jibāl'.
والدارة: أخص من الدار.
And 'ad-darah' is more specific than 'ad-dar'.
والدارة: التي حول القمر، وهى الهالة.
And 'ad-darah' is that which is around the moon, and it is the halo.

وهو فيعال من درت، وأصله ديوار، فالواو إذا وقعت بعد ياء ساكنة قبلها فتحة قلبت ياء وأدغمت، مثل أيام وقيام.

ودار الشئ يدور دورا ودورانا.
And a thing revolved, turning a revolution and a rotation.
