إذا ما نتجنا أربعا عام كفأة * بغاها خناسيرا فأهلك أربعا
When we produced four in the year of Kaf'ah * she sought ruin, and it destroyed four.
يقول: إنه شقى الجد، إذا نتجت أربع من إبله أربعة أولاد هلكت من إبله الكبار أربع غير هذه، فيكون ما هلك أكثر مما أصاب
He says: indeed, he is unfortunate in his fate. When four of his camels produced four offspring, four of his older camels perished besides these, so what perished was more than what he gained.
والخسار والخسارة والخيسرى: الضلال والهلاك
And al-khisar, and al-khasarah, and al-khusra: misguidance and destruction.
