وأنشد ابن الاعرابي: يا قاتل الله دقيلا ذا الجدر
And Ibn al-A'rābī recited: May God kill the small one with the boil.
والجدرة أيضا: حى من الازد، ويقال: سموا بذلك لانهم بنوا جدار الكعبة.
And al-Jadráh also: a tribe from the Azd, and it is said: they were named that because they built the wall of the Ka'bah.
وجندرت الكتاب: إذا أمررت القلم على ما درس منه ليتبين، وكذلك الثوب إذا أعدت وشيه بعد ما كان ذهب.
And jandarta the writing: if you pass the pen over what has faded from it so it becomes clear, and likewise a garment if you restore its pattern after it has gone.
