ومنه قول علي رضي الله عنه لشريح: " فما تقول أنت أيها العبد الأبظر ".
And from this is the saying of Ali, may God be pleased with him, to Shurayh: 'So what do you say, O subservient slave?'
وقد بظر الرجل بظرا.
And the man has become 'abthar' (prominent-lipped or subservient).
