And I gave the man good news, I give him بشرا and بشورا, from البشرى.
والاسم البشارة.
And the noun is البشارة.
يقال: بشرته بمولود فأبشر إبشارا، أي سر.
It is said: I gave him good news of a newborn, so he was delighted إبشارا, meaning he was happy.
وتقول: أبشر بخير، بقطع الألف.
And you say: أبشر بخير, with the cutting of the alif.
ومن قوله تعالى: (وأبشروا بالجنة) *
And from His saying, the Almighty: (And be glad with Paradise) *
وبشرت بكذا بالكسر، أبشر، أي استبشرت به.

وأتانى أمر بشرت به، أي سررت به.
And a matter came to me that I was بشرت by, meaning I was pleased by it.

هو حسن البشر بالسكر، أي طلق الوجه.
He is حسن البشر بالسكر, meaning pleasant-faced.
وبشرى: اسم رجل لا ينصرف في معرفة ولا في نكرة، للتأنيث ولزوم حرف التأنيث له وإن لم يكن صفة، لان هذه الالف يبنى الاسم لها، فصارت كأنها من نفس الكلمة، وليست كالهاء التى تدخل على الاسم بعد التذكير.
And بشرى: the name of a man, indeclinable in definite or indefinite, due to femininity and the fixed feminine letter, even if it is not an adjective, because this alif is built for the noun, so it became as if it were part of the word itself, and not like the ha' that enters a noun after it is made masculine.
وقوله تعالى: (يا بشراي هذا غلام) * كقولك: عصاي
And His saying, the Almighty: (O my بشرى, this is a boy) * is like your saying: my staff.
وتقول في التثنية: يا بشرتي.
And you say in the dual: O my two good news.
والبشارة المطلقة لا تكون إلا بالخير، وإنما تكون بالشر إذا كانت مقيدة به، كقوله تعالى: (فبشرهم بعذاب أليم) *
And absolute good news is only for good, and it is only for evil if it is qualified by it, as in His saying, the Almighty: (So give them tidings of a painful punishment) *
وتباشر القوم، أي بعضهم بعضا.
And the people exchanged good news, meaning some of them to others.
وتباشير الصبح: أوائله، وكذلك أوائل كل شئ.
And the تباشير of the dawn: its beginnings, and likewise the beginnings of everything.
والبشير: المبشر.
And البشير: the bearer of good news.
والمبشرات: الرياح التي تبشر بالغيث.
And المبشرات: the winds that bring good news of rain.
والبشير: الجميل.
And البشير: the beautiful one.
وامرأة بشيرة وناقة بشيرة، أي حسنة.
