وهذا الشئ لك بأسره، أي بقده، تعني بجميعه، كما يقال برمته.

You say from it: 'The man retained urine, he retains urine, a retention', so he is 'ma'sur'.

وتقول: هذا عود أسر، للذى يوضع على بطن المأسور الذى احتبس بوله.

And you say: 'This is a stick of 'asr', for that which is placed on the abdomen of the one with retention whose urine is held back.

ولا تقل: هذا عود يسر.

And do not say: 'This is a stick of 'yusr'.

وأسرة الرجل: رهطه، لانه يتقوى بهم.

And a man's 'usrah': his kin, because he is strengthened by them.
