يُقَالُ رَحِمٌ جَذَاذٌ وَحِذَاذٌ، بِالْجِيمِ وَالْحَاءِ مَمْدُودَانِ، وَذَلِكَ إِذَا لَمْ تُوصَلْ.
It is said of a kinship tie: 'raḥimun jadhādhun' and 'ḥidhādhun', with jīm and ḥā, elongated, and that is when it is not maintained.
وَمَا عَلَيْهِ جَذَّةٌ، أَيْ شَيْءٌ مِنَ الثِّيَابِ.
And he has not a jadhdhah, meaning any piece of clothing.
وَالجَذِيذَةُ: السَّوِيقُ.
And al-jadhīdhah: the sūwīq (gruel).
