And a fair woman from the people of Medina who had not tasted * hardship and did not follow the provisions of a poor person.
وعام جحد: قليل المطر.
And a year of j-h-d: little rain.
وجحد النبت: إذا قل ولم يطل.
And the plants j-h-d: when they are few and do not grow tall.
