الفرجة: التفصى من الهم
Al-furjah: the escape from worry.
ربما تكره النفوس من الأمور له فرجة كحل العقال
Perhaps the souls dislike matters for which there is an opening like the untying of a hobble.
والفرجة بالضم: فرجة الحائط وما أشبهه
And al-furjah (with dammah): a gap in a wall and what resembles it.
بينهما فرجة، أي انفراج
Between them is a gap, meaning an opening.
والفرج، بالكسر: الذى لا يكتم السر
And al-faraj (with kasrah): one who does not keep a secret.
وكذلك الفرج بضم الفاء والراء
And likewise al-faraj (with dammah on fa and ra).
والفرج أيضا: القوس البائنة عن الوتر

رجل أفرج بين الفرج، للذي لا تلتقي أليتاه لعظمهما
A man is 'afraj' (wide-hipped) if his buttocks do not meet due to their size.
والمرأة فرجاء
And the woman is 'farjaa' (wide-hipped).
وفرج الرجل بالكسر فرجا فهو فرج، أي لا يزال ينكشف فرجه
And a man's private part is 'faraj' (with kasrah), so he is 'faraj', meaning his private part is always exposed.
ويقال أفرج الناس عن طريقه، أي انكشفوا
And it is said, 'The people cleared their way', meaning they parted.
لا يترك في الاسلام مفرج
No 'mufarrj' shall be left in Islam.
هو يروى بالجيم والحاء
It is narrated with the jim and the ha.
فمن قال مفرج بالجيم فهو القتيل يوجد بأرض فلاة، لا يكون عند قرية
So whoever says 'mufarrj' with the jim, it refers to a killed person found in a desolate land, not near a village.
يقول: فإنه يودى من بيت المال
He says: his blood money is paid from the public treasury.
المفرج بالجيم: الذى يسلم ولا يوالى أحدا، فإذا جنى جناية كان ذلك على بيت المال، لانه لا عاقلة له
Al-mufarrj (with jim): one who becomes Muslim but does not ally with anyone; if he commits a crime, it falls upon the public treasury because he has no tribal protectors.
والفروجة: واحدة الفراريج
And al-farwajah: one of the chicks.
دجاجة مفرج، أي ذات فراريج
A chicken 'mufarrjah', meaning having chicks.
والفروج بفتح الفاء: القباء، وفرخ الدجاجة
And al-furooj (with fatha on fa): the qabaa' (a garment), and the chick of a chicken.
