As if she has something lost on earth that she recounts * to her mother, and if she speaks to you, she is cut off (tablitu) out of shyness.
ومن رواه بالكسر يعني تقطع وتفصل ولا تطول.
And whoever narrates it with a kasra means: she cuts off and separates and does not prolong.
وما زوجت إلا بمهر مبلت * قالوا: هو المهر المضمون، بلغة حمير.
And I was not married except with a guaranteed dowry (muhallat) * They said: It is the assured dowry, in the dialect of Himyar.
