And it has been said: she is the mother of Al-Bahirah. When a she-camel gave birth to ten offspring, all females, she was set free and not ridden, and her milk was only drunk by her offspring or guests until she died. When she died, men and women alike ate her meat, and the ear of her last daughter was slit, so she was named Al-Bahirah, in the status of her mother as being Sa'ibah.

والجمع سيب، مثل نائحة ونوح، ونائمة ونوم.
