نسأت الماشية نسأ، وهو بدء سمنها حين ينبت وبرها بعد تساقطه.
The livestock began to fatten with نسأ, which is the beginning of their fattening when their hair grows after shedding.

به أبلت شهرى ربيع كليهما * فقد مار فيها نسؤها واقترارها

فالنسء: بدء السمن. والاقترار نهايته.
So, نسء is the beginning of fattening, and اقترار is its end.

The Nasi' (intercalary month) is only an increase in disbelief.
فهو منسوء، إذا أخرته، ثم يحول منسوء إلى نسئ، كما يحول مقتول إلى قتيل.
So it is منسوء, if you have delayed it, then it is transformed from منسوء to نسئ, just as مقتول is transformed into قتيل.
ورجل ناسئ وقوم نسأة، مثل: فاسق وفسقة، وذلك أنهم كانوا إذا صدروا عن منى يقوم رجل من كنانة فيقول: أنا الذي لا يرد لي قضاء! فيقولون: أنسئنا شهرا، أي: أخر عنا حرمة المحرم واجعلها في صفر، لأنهم كانوا يكرهون أن تتوالى عليهم ثلاثة أشهر لا يغيرون فيها، لأن معاشهم كان من الغارة، فيحل لهم المحرم.
And a man is ناسئ and a people are نسأة, like فاسق and فسقة. This is because when they returned from Mina, a man from Kinana would stand and say: 'I am the one whose judgment is never reversed!' Then they would say: 'Postpone a month for us,' meaning: postpone the sanctity of Muharram for us and make it in Safar, because they disliked three consecutive months without change, as their livelihood was from raiding, so Muharram would become permissible for them.
أنسأت سربتي، أي: أبعدت مذهبي.
I postponed my journey, meaning I extended my path.
عدون من الوادي الذي بين مشعل. * وبين الحشا هيهات أنسأت سربتي
They came from the valley between Mash'al and Al-Hasha. Far away, I postponed my journey.
وانتساأت عنه: تأخرت وتباعدت، وكذلك الإبل إذا تباعدت في المرعى.
And انتسأ عنه means to be late and distant, and likewise for camels when they become distant in the pasture.
