Parallel reading

أرجأت الأمر: أخرته

وقرئ: (وآخرون مرجؤن لأمر الله)
And it is read: 'And others are deferred for God's command'.
أي: مؤخرون حتى ينزل الله فيهم ما يريد
Meaning: delayed until God decrees what He wills concerning them.
ومننه سميت المرجئة
From this, the Murji'ah were named.
يقال: رجل مرجئ
It is said: a man who postpones (or a Murji'ite).
هذا إذا همزت
This is if you use the hamza.
فإذا لم تهمز قلت: رجل مرج، مثل: معط
And if you do not use the hamza, you say: 'marj', like 'ma't'.
وهم المرجية بالتشديد
And they are the Murji'ah with the shadda.
لان بعض العرب يقول: أرجيت، وأخطيت، وتوضيت، فلا يهمز
Because some Arabs say: 'arjait', 'akhṭait', and 'tawaudait', without using the hamza.
وأرجأت الناقة: دنا نتاجها
And the she-camel 'arjā': her offspring was near.
يهمز ولا يهمز
It is used with and without the hamza.
قال أبو عمرو: هو مهموز
Abu Amr said: it is hamzated.
وأنشد لذى الرمة، يصف بيضة
And he recited for Dhu al-Rummah, describing an egg.
إذا أرجأت ماتت وحى سليلها
When its birth was near, its offspring died.
ويروى: إذا نتجت
And it is narrated: 'When it gave birth'.
