وَالقُدْوُ: القُرْبُ، وَالقُدُومُ مِنَ السَّفَرِ، كَالإقْدَاءِ، وَبِالكَسْرِ: الأَصْلُ تَتَشَعَّبُ مِنْهُ الفُرُوعُ.
And al-qudwu: nearness, arrival from travel, like al-iqdā'u, and with kasr: the origin from which the branches spread.
وَالقُدْوَى، كَسَكْرَى: الاِسْتِقَامَةُ.
And al-qudwā, like sakrā: uprightness.
