And the she-camel seemed pregnant with false pregnancy and repeated mating, and she is one that appears pregnant: it appeared to them that she was pregnant, and she was not, or she whose mating is frequent and then she does not conceive, or she who does not conceive until the male is repeatedly brought to her.
وَمَرَانٌ، كَشَدَّادٍ: مَدِينَةٌ قُرْبَ مَكَّةَ.
And Maran, like Shaddad: a city near Mecca.
وَمَرِينٌ، بِالضَّمِّ: قَرْيَةٌ بِمِصْرَ.
And Marin, with damma: a village in Egypt.
وَكَزُبَيْرٍ: قَرْيَةٌ بِمَرْوَ.
And like Zubayr: a village in Merv.
وَالتَّمَارُنُ: انْقِطَاعُ لَبَنِ النَّاقَةِ.
