And al-bā'in: is the one that comes to the milk-giver from its left side, and every bow that is far from its string, like al-bā'inah, and the well that is deep and wide, like al-buyūn.
وغراب البين: الأبقع، أو الأحمر المنقار والرجلين
And the crow of separation (ghurāb al-bayn): the pied one, or the one with red beak and legs.
وهذا بين بين: أي: بين الجيد والرديء، اسمان جعلا واحدا، وبنيا على الفتح
