And Judamah, like Thumamah, daughter of Wahb, and daughter of Jundal, and daughter of Al-Harith: were female companions. And it (Al-Jadmah) is what is extracted from the ear of grain with a stick when wheat is winnowed in the wind, and its chaff is separated, like Al-Jadmah (vowelized).
وجَدَمَتِ النَّخْلَةُ: أَثْمَرَتْ ويَبِسَتْ.
And the palm tree Jadamah: it bore fruit and then dried up.
والجُدَامِيُّ، بالضَّمِّ: تَمْرٌ، وبِهاءٍ: المُوقَرَةُ مِنَ النَّخْلِ.
And Al-Judamiyy, with dammah: dates, and with haa': the laden palm tree.
