وكل لسانه وبصره يكل: نبا
And his tongue and his sight became weary: they became disinclined.
وأكله البكاء
And weeping exhausted him.

أو هي الأخوة للأم

And both are resolvents, maturants, softening for hard swellings in joints and viscera.

And iklil al-jabal: another plant, its leaves are long, thin, and dense.
وله ثمر صلب، إذا جف تناثر منه بزر أدق من الخردل
And it has hard fruit, when it dries, seeds finer than mustard scatter from it.
وورقه مر حريف طيب الرائحة، مدر محلل مفتح للسدد، ينفع الخفقان والسعال والاستسقاء
And its leaves are bitter, pungent, pleasant-smelling, diuretic, resolvent, opening obstructions, beneficial for palpitations, cough, and dropsy.
